NEWS FLASH--As demonstrated in a recent court decision, if you have had an accident and are watching medical bills pile up while you wait on a settlement or trial of your case, you should think twice before filing chapter 7 bankruptcy. Be sure to consult an attorney familiar with Bankruptcy law and the interface with personal injury law about your options. It could be that an attorney can make suggestions to help you. For example, you could file a chapter 13 bankruptcy to get the medical creditors off of your back and avoid losing your evidence in support...
