To give you an example of our work experience, we took a case for a client whose husband died while working on Interstate 85 in Mecklenburg County. She was not employed, and he left her alone with their teenage daughter. After helping them obtain their worker's compensation, we filed suit for wrongful death against the trucking company and their driver. We put together a team of lawyers to do battle with the big trucking company when they refused all efforts to settle the case. </div> <bR> <div> We are happy to report that in October of 2002 a jury awarded the family over $1.3 million, with interest at 9% back to the date of the accident.</div> <bR> <div> It was a difficult time for the client emotionally, but we kept in close contact and walked her through the process until we obtained judgment.
