"I would like to say that I have apreciated the legal support and advice that was given to me by Mrs. Virginia D. Perry. I came to her as a client ... looking for support in a divorce/child custody case, which had many obstacles to overcome... but ... devoting her time to my case, Mrs. Perry was able to make the case untouchable. The case took ...two years to finally get in court... Mrs. Perry did an excellent job in cross examining the defendant and me along with credible witnesses.... evidence compiled over two years. I was seeking a ...divorce and custody of our five year old daughter. With Mrs. Perry's advice and efforts in preparing my case and representation in court the day of the hearing, we left victorious. I not only walked away with my divorce, but with physical custody of my daughter. It was the happiest day of my life.
Some say it is hard for a man to gain custody of his children, but my case bears witness to the fact that a man can gain custody of his children. Again, I want to express my appreciation and thanks to Virginia Dante Perry and her staff for all of the support, all of the time and effort that they gave me and my case. I will never forget all that they have done for me. If it were not for the advice, knowledge and strategy she used in my case, I would not have won my case.
I would like to say that I would recommend Mrs. Virginia Dante Perry to anyone who has a legal matter at hand to resolve; she will give 100% devotion to make every case a success for any client that walks into her office looking for support."
Sincerely,
Lloyd C.B ishop, III

We cannot give details about specific cases that would identify the parties, but Virginia Perry has over 29 years experience handling emotional and difficult cases involving separation and divorce. Experienced counsel is very important from the beginning in contested divorce actions, or where child custody and marital assets are in issue. These case summaries and the testimonials in our testimonial section are given only to show our experience with divorce cases. We do not claim that we can achieve the same results for all clients. Each case is unique.
RS, a Vietnam veteran and U.S. Army retiree, came to the office for help defending an action for spousal support and equitable distribution of his military retirement. His ex wife had divorced him six years before in another jurisdiction and he had remarried. Perry Law Group provided diligent and aggressive representation. We researched the law in Virginia and in the nation; we filed three separate memoranda of law together with motions and pleas defending our client based on our thorough legal research. With our legal arguments, we convinced the court to dismiss all counts of the ex-wife's suit based on the law. Case 34506P.
SR came to the office seeking her fair share of the marital assets after negotiations with her husband had broken down. Patience and perseverance together with aggressive negotiation, while defending separate suits for divorce and civil damages, got SR the settlement she was entitled to under the law. Case 36705
When GA came to the office he was in default (meaning he never filed an answer or responded to the divorce) on his divorce action which was filed against him in Williamsburg and had been pending for over a year. He was under a court order to pay significant child support without an offset for the time the child was in his custody. We were able to obtain court permission to file a late answer and cross bill (countersuit) for divorce. By fighting aggressively, we convinced the court to grant him a divorce so he could remarry and continue with the property arguments separately. His wife had had little incentive to finalize the divorce or settle the case because an existing (pendent lite) order provided her with more tax free income than she was to receive after the final divorce property hearing. Case 24600P.
TH came to see us for help resolving QDRO (Qualified Domestic Relations Order) issues with his retirement benefits. His divorce was over but there was a problem finalizing a split of retirement benefits. His wife's lawyer was "pushing the envelope" to get more than the property settlement allowed. By aggressive representation, through contested hearings, intense negotiations and numerous conference calls with the retirement plan administrator, we were able to protect our client's right to protect his new wife in his retirement plan.
Case 5300P.
